Freelance Designer / Art Director / Illustrator
Design | Greater Los Angeles Area, US
I am a freelance designer / art director / and sometimes illustrator, based in Los Angeles. Working with brands big and small, from Audi to Jasonmarkk, and big agencies like TBWA / Omnicom to small shops like MOJO, my aesthetic can grasp any entity along with great thinking. The power of a big systems thinker, coupled with detail-oriented visualizations.
The type of projects I usually work are branding, identity, information/data visualization, magazine, book design, and sometimes experiential / environmental installations.
I sometimes collaborate with the international art & design collective:
We work on book, editorial, and other miscellaneous art projects. Our last project was a food book, "From The Couch To The Kitchen", a published book from 826LA (a subsidiary of McSweeney's publishing | www.mcsweeneys.net) of which several students from Susan Miller Dorsey High School in Los Angeles wrote, "about food and the experiences it evokes—walking through a grocery store looking for the perfect pink chicken, remembering a beloved family member in apples and peanut butter, being reminded of a mother's unconditional love. This book is about appreciating our delectable experiences." (Written by the famous restaurateur and legendary chef, Alice Waters)
